Richard A. Wiley, 82, of Fombell passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.
Born August 25, 1943 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John and Evelyn McKinney Wiley. He married Patricia Ann Curtis Wiley on September 23, 1961.
Richard graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He began his career at Lake Forest Gardens in 1962, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring. An outdoorsman, he was a lifelong member of the Beaver County Coon Hunter’s Association. He was also a member of the Connoquenessing Valley Bowman’s Archery Club and Pittsburgh Aquarium Society. He enjoyed raising fish and was a talented woodworker. Most of all, he cherished time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Pat; four sons, Richard (Birdie) Wiley Jr., Jimmy (Chickie) Wiley both of Ellwood City, Ken Wiley and Bruce (Darla) Wiley both of Fombell, daughter in law, Tracy Wiley Leo of Ellport; eight granddaughters, Beth Wiley, Amber Kozar, Katie Conley, Kristen Wiley, Bailey Weaver, and Laura, Kylie, and Ta’ray Wiley; five grandsons, Jason, Kenny, Jess, Colton, and Noah Wiley; 12 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Olivia, Isabella, Nevaeh, Nathan, Natasha, Tyral, Tayshawn, Dymond, E’rayla, Kameron, and Dominic; one sister, Evelyn Landman of Beaver Falls; two brothers, Robert (Nina) of New Castle, and David (Wendy) Wiley of Ellwood City.
He was proceeded in death by brother and sister-in-law John (Helen) Wiley, sister, Jean Gordon, and grandson, Justin DiFrischia.
A celebration of Richard’s life Social Gathering will be held from 2-4pm. on August 8,2026 at Wurtemberg-Perry Firehall located at 425 Portersville Rd, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
