David Schweinsberg, 65

David “Brian” Schweinsberg, 65, of Perry Twp. passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at his residence following a courageous four-month battle with cancer.

Born December 28, 1960 at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA, he was the son of David Mook and Margaret Joyce Lepley Schweinsberg of Ellwood City.

Brian graduated from Lincoln High School in 1978 and then from BC3 in 1984. He was affiliated with the Portersville Presbyterian Church. A talented and skilled mechanic, he worked on motorcycles and painted cars throughout his life. He enjoyed motocross and built Brian’s Backyard Track, where many friends came to ride and enjoy good times together. An avid hunter, Brian collected many trophies over the years, most proud of his 12 point buck from last year.

Brian had a big personality. He loved to talk to anyone at any time and his contagious laugh could fill up the room. He cherished the moments when his friends would stop by and sit in his garage to share a cold beer and have good conversation.

Survivors include his parents, daughter, Samantha Schweinsberg of Lexington Kentucky; sister, Karen (Larry) Krummert of Ellwood City; nephew, Garrett (Jo) Krummert of West Middlesex; niece, Gabrielle (Nathan) Smallwood of Raleigh, NC, and his Belgian Malinois, Missy, who was his constant companion for the past four years.

A Private Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2026 at the Portersville Church Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Gardner will officiate. Interment will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to Club Hope or to the Lawrence County Humane Society.

Arrangements entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
