Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of June 15th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

BOOK SALE COLLECTION:

We are now taking donations for the book sale in October. We do not take text books, readers digest condensed books, magazines, encyclopedias or VHS tapes.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, JUNE 15

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.

TUESDAY, JUNE 16

  • Carnegie Dinosaur Events
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – PreK – 2nd
  • 1:35 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. – 3rd & up
  • 5:00 p.m. – “Adult/Child Paint Fundraiser,” this program was a pre-sign up. There are no tickets at the door.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:00 p.m. – “Lego Club,” this is a pre-school and up program. Build things with our Lego blocks.
  • 2:30 p.m. – “Choose Your Own Book Club,” this is a book club for kids 3rd – 5th grade. They can pick their own book then do a planned activity while eating snacks.
  • 5:00 p.m. – “Movie Night for Adults,” call the library to see what is playing. We provide drinks and popcorn.

THURSDAY, JUNE 18

  • 10:30 a.m. – “Music & Movement,” all ages and abilities invited to do singing and dancing to different dinosaur songs.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:00 p.m. – “Pokemon Club,” this is for preschool and up. Kids will be able to make Pokemon crafts, learn about Pokemon from fellow collectors. There will be battles and card trading.
  • 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – “Family Game Night,” bring your family and enjoy playing games with other community members. We have games to share or bring your own. We partner with Sidetracks Board Game Club.

FRIDAY, JUNE 19

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own supplies or use ours.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” work on your own individual projects while socializing with other knitters.

SATURDAY, JUNE 20

  • 2:00 p.m. – “Fiction Addiction Book Club,” will be discussing the book “The Lost Apothecary” by Sarah Penner.

July 14th 6:00 p.m. – Fossil Presentation by Alex Gladis

July 15th 6:00 p.m. – America’s Birthday Party with guest speaker Rob Brough.

July 29th 6:00 p.m. – End of Summer Party with Steve the Magician.
