Mark L. Gehley, 66

Mark L. Gehley, 66, formerly of Big Beaver, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Providence Care Center following a short illness.

Born April 13, 1960, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Eamile O. and J. Rosalie Covert Gehley.

Mark was a proud Marine Corp Veteran. He worked for many years as a finish line machine operator for Armstrong Industries in Beaver Falls. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. For 48 years, Mark dedicated himself as a volunteer firefighter with the Big Beaver VFD. He served in many roles, including President, Chief, Assistant Chief, and most recently as Captain.

Mark enjoyed playing cards and was a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Penguins, and was an avid hunter and a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited. Most of all, Mark cherished time spent with his family.

Survivors include sister, Rose (John) Reed of Beaver Falls; two nieces, Kristi (Chuck) Maggi of New Castle and Rosalie (Brady) Kullen of Hurricane, WV; three nephews, Joshua (Jennifer) Adrian of New Brighton, John A. (Jennifer) Reed II of Sagamore Hills, OH, and Timothy (Shawna) Reed of Mercer; brother-in-law, Kieth Adrian of New Galilee; three great-nieces, Rachel, Chloe, and Josephine; and two great-nephews, John III and Elijah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Timothy E and his sister Teresa J. Adrian.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. The Big Beaver Fireman will be doing a prayer service at 7 pm.

A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday May 7, at 11 am. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Military Rites will be observed.

The family wishes to thank Pinnacle Hospice especially Jena, Mark’s nurse for all their compassion and care of Mark and the family during this difficult time and all of the staff at Providence Care Center that took care of Mark.
