Darla A. May, 59

Darla May, 59, of North Sewickley passed on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Maureen (McCurdy) Beatty and was born April 12, 1967 in Beaver Falls.

She is survived by her children; Ryan May of Chippewa and Kortney May of Butler; her four grandchildren who she loved and cherished, 10 nieces and nephews along with 8 great nieces and nephews, her step siblings; Jodi Przybysz, Keith Beatty, Sr, and Todd Beatty.

Darla was a 1985 graduate of Riverside High School. She was a member of Word Alice Church in Franklin Twp. She received her BA Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Geneva College and she also attended CCBC. She was employed for Western Psych after she graduated. She was a bartender at Evelyn’s Corral, also known as Breakers. She enjoyed shooting pool and an avid bowler. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her ham bone and loaded potato soup. She loved her family most of all her children and grandchildren. She always made a point to let her kids know that she loved them.

She is preceded in death by her brother; Bob Beatty and her sister Vicki Taylor.

Cremation Arrangements entrusted to the Turner-Hyde Funeral & Cremation Services located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
