The Wolverines boys tennis team defeated rival Riverside Wednesday afternoon to improve its regular season record to 2-2.
Ellwood City used singles victories by Porter Nash (6-1, 6-2 over Sean Love), Quinn Smith (6-4, 6-2 over John Besong) and Isaac Smith (6-3, 2-6, 6-4 over Drew Love) and a doubles victory by Adrian Alvarez & Christian DiBuono (6-2, 6-1) over Trent Belcyzk & Cole Becker.
The Panthers earned a doubles victory by Luke Nelson & Mitchell Sibble (6-2, 6-4) over Devin Thompson & Dominic DiBuono.
Ellwood City wrapped up its week with a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Blackhawk on Thursday afternoon. The team (now 2-3 Overall) will next will next host Beaver Falls on Monday with a match set for 3:30 p.m.
