West End Auto Wash Now Open On Lawrence Avenue

Business

Trust, hard work, and a reputation built over decades.

That’s exactly the foundation that Brayden Morgan a young local business owner is building on after purchasing a second car wash to expand his family’s long-standing operation.

For years, the family-owned car wash Ellwood Auto Wash at 201 1st St has been a fixture in town: the place where muddy trucks, pollen-coated sedans, and salt-streaked SUVs get a fresh start.

Now, with the acquisition of the former The Car Wash of Ellwood City across town, the next generation is steering the business into a new era—without losing sight of its roots. Brayden recently opened the West End Auto Wash at 1510 W Lawrence Avenue.

Although Brayden has been a part of the Ellwood Auto Wash throughout his childhood and he will still run that location, the West End Auto Wash is his own.

This one is mostly mine,” he said.

He worked to upgrade the facility to make sure that everything is in working order. He installed new change machines, upkeep to the machinery, making sure all the chemicals, soaps, and waxes are doing their jobs, and he also installed two new cashier machines for each auto machine.

The original car wash wasn’t just a business. It was a family thing—for three generations, first his grandfather, then his dad, and now him. Brayden grew up around the hum of pressure washers and the scent of soap and wax.

“Ever since I was little wanted to be in the family business,” he said.

As a kid, he helped with small tasks. And as an adult, he saw opportunity. When the second car wash came up for sale, it wasn’t just another property—it was a chance to invest in the community that had supported his family for years.

“We had one car wash, and it was doing good, and we had the opportunity to buy and purchase the second location, it just made sense,” Brayden said. “The more business you have the better it is. Living in a small town you want all the businesses to thrive. The more business and money you put into the town the more it helps the town grow.”

In small towns, businesses are more than storefronts—they’re part of daily life. By investing locally rather than looking elsewhere, he’s reinforcing that connection.

Brayden, a humble entrepreneur knows that owning one successful car wash is an achievement. Expanding to two—while maintaining quality and culture—is a responsibility that he is fully ready to take on.

“I want to run the West Side Auto Wash just as good as the Ellwood City Auto Wash. I want to work to get the business back at that Lawrence Avenue location.”

For this young entrepreneur, the goal isn’t rapid expansion or franchising. It’s sustainable growth, steady service, and keeping the family name associated with reliability.

He is thankful for his loyal customers and looking forward to welcoming new ones.

Thank you for being valued customers and for being understanding with the time it took to get the new location all fixed up and running. And thank you to the local businesses for their help along the way including The Car Wash Company, Signs by Sam, T&M Hardware, Allied Rubber, and Ellwood City Glass.”

In a world of corporate chains and automated transactions, there’s something powerful about a local business that still feels personal. And thanks to one young owner’s vision, that legacy is only getting stronger—one wash at a time.
