PHOTOS: Riverside Falls To Mohawk 35-24 On Senior Night

In a high-scoring section affair, Riverside fell to Mohawk 35-24 to wrap up its regular season.

Mohawk quarterback Bobby Fadden accounted for five offensive touchdowns for the Warriors while Panthers quarterback Aiden Gaydosz tossed three touchdowns in defeat.

Each quarterback was incredibly accurate and the teams compiled over 700 yards of offense collectively.

After Fadden found Joe Nail on a 6-yard scoring strike to open up the scoring, Riverside was left chasing the Warriors on the scoreboard and never held a lead.

Gaydosz found Evan Skinner on a 32-yard touchdown on the first play of the second quarter to initially respond and later in the frame found Mason Holler for a 24-yard touchdown, but Riverside trailed 14-12. Fadden plunged in from 1-yard with only nine second remaining in the half to push Mohawk ahead 21-12 at intermission.

Fadden rushed for his second touchdown of the contest in third quarter and found his wideout Nail again on a 12-yard strike early in the fourth quarter to put Mohawk ahead 35-12.

Riverside tried to rally with Alex Lucarelli rushing for a 5-yard touchdown midway through the final frame and Gaydosz tossed his final touchdown pass to Hunter Garcia with two minutes remaining to draw the final score to 35-24.

Gaydosz finished 20-26 passing for 265 yards and three touchdowns (131.1 QB rating) while Fadden finished 15-18 passing and 218 yards (156.7 QB rating) for Mohawk.

Skinner hauled in a game-high nine catches for 141 yards for Riverside. The Panthers were limited to only 91 yards rushing with Holler finishing with 38 yards and Lucarelli posted 36 yards.

Riverside finishes its regular season 5-5 Overall and 4-3 in Section 2A-A and will next turn its focus to the WPIAL Class 2A Playoffs. The Panthers earned a #11 seed wild card berth (one of five teams from the Midwestern Conference) and travel to #6 seed Apollo Ridge on Friday, October 31st. [VIEW BRACKET]
