Drug Raid At Ellwood City Residence Results In Four Arrests

According to a criminal complaint, a task force raid at a house in Ellwood City results in the arrest of four local individuals and the seizuire of suspected methamphetamine and other suspected narcotics.

Daniel Martin, 46; Donald McClain, 53; Ryleigh Lucas, 31; and Matthew Caldwell, 33, all of Ellwood City are each charged with counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance after the Lawrence County HIDTA Task Force executed a search warrant at a house at McClain’s address in the 400 block of Third Street, Ellwood City.

According to the complaint, the task force arrived there around 5 p.m. and Martin, who was in front of the house, tried to run and dropped a book bag. The officers caught him and arrested him.

While agents took Martin into custody, members of the HIDTA Task Force made entry and subsequently detained seven other individuals.

Once the target was secured and with drug paraphernalia throughout the house in plain view, all suspects were taken into custody and removed from the residence.

The agents searched Martin’s book bag and found a bag containing 8.77 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a container with four suspected fentanyl pills, 1.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine and $106 in cash according to the complaint.

Located on Caldwell was 1.37 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 0.45 gram of suspected fentanyl. Located on Lucas was 1.44 gross grams of suspected methamphetamine and McClain was in possession of 3.3 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
