Judith A. Ketterer, 74

Judith A. Ketterer, 74, of Ellport passed away on Monday, September 15th, 2025 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a long battle with cancer.

Judy was born in Ellwood City on October 29th, 1950 the daughter of the late George M. and Jean M. (Frazier) Ketterer Sr.. She is a member of the Riverside High School class of 1968 and graduated from United Hospital School of Radiology in Beaver Falls. On August 5th, 1974 Judy enlisted with the United States Air Force and served as a radiologic specialist at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota until her honorable discharge on August 4th, 1978 earning the rank of Sergeant. She then served with the Air National Guard in North Dakota until her honorable discharge on December 31st, 1999 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon her leaving the military she joined the staff at the Ellwood City Hospital in the MRI department.

Judy enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, loved all animals, and cooking for her family and friends. She was a kind and gentle person who will be missed by all those who loved her.

She is survived by her spouse, Kathy Sue Jeannette whom she married on March 20th, 2018, brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Annie Ketterer Jr., Larry and Mary Ketterer both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Tom and Carol Ketterer of Franklin Township, nephews, George, Randy, and Rodney (Gisel) Ketterer of Colorado, nieces, Kara Ketterer of Colorado, and Tomiann (Ryan) Kirchel of Franklin Township who’s nursing expertise was extremely helpful to Judy over the years, and several great-nieces and nephews.

At Judy’s request there will not be a public service. Final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
