Norma L. Zingaro, 97

Mrs. Norma L. Zingaro, 97, passed away on Sunday, August 17th, 2025.

Norma was born on February 20th, 1928 in Ellwood City to Pierina (Martucci) and Patsy Rossi. Norma was married to the late Patsy Zingaro, son of Jessie and Joseph Zingaro. She is predeceased by her brothers, Pat Rossi and Bob Rossi, her sister, Mary Ann Agostinelli and her son, John Zingaro.

Norma is survived by her children, Bonnie (Dr. David) Seaburn, Dr. Joseph (Judy) Zingaro, Dr. Marian Zingaro, James (Elaine) Zingaro, grandchildren, Rachel (Tony) Pignagrande, Emily (Matthew) Legas, Dr. Patrick (Stacey) Zingaro, Erika (Maki) Bates, Maya and David Zingaro, Jake, Ben, Sam Zingaro, Amanda Middleton, Alyssa (Jeff) Hall. Great grandchildren Ethan, Wyatt, Lucas Opalecky, Delia Hall, Gianna, Makayla Pignagrande, Jude, Abel and Leona Legas.

She is survived by a sister-in-law Alice (Bob) Rossi and a sister-in-law Linda (Pat) Rossi.

Norma was an active member and past president of the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member and past president of the Municipal Women’s Club. She was a member of the Library Board for many years and served as its president. She received the Distinguished Service Award in 1983. She also received a Beautification Award for her outstanding flower gardens. She was well known for all the zinnias she grew and gave seeds to anyone who wanted them. She enjoyed seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they would see her car with its eyelashes.

Norma worked for 45 years for Dr. Anthony DiBiagio. She graduated with honors from Lincoln High School in 1946. She was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where she was a Christian Education (CCD) teacher and a member of the Christian Mothers.

Norma loved Ellwood City and the people who lived here. She had a ready smile and was willing to tackle anything. Raising five children prepared her to meet any challenge. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 25th, 2025 at 10:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Monday by 9:50 am to form an honor guard.
