Mrs. Louise P. (DeCarbo) Massung of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at Kadima at Harmony after a courageous battle with MDS.
Louise was born on April 2nd, 1939, in Ellwood City to the late Angelo and Frances (DeMauro) DeCarbo. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1955. She is a member
of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. She worked at ESB Bank for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Ellwood City Art Club and served as treasurer for the club. Through the years, she had formed a circle of friends that she cherished dearly. Her greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with them. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy (Deanna) Massung of Harmony and James (Sherry) Massung of Glendale, AZ, her daughter-in-law, Pamela Massung of Loveland, OH, her grandchildren, Sean (Kia) Massung, Michael Massung, Jeremy Massung, Alexandra Cummings (fiancé Cody Merritt), Braden (Katy) Wasson and Shaynna (Chase) Baer and her great-grandchildren, Blayke Cummings, Oliver and Henry Wasson, and Kennedy, Briar, and Leighton Baer . She is also survived by her brother, Anthony J. “Lefty” DeCarbo of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Thomas Massung, brother Peter DeCarbo, sister Ellen Pesce, sister-in-law’s Nataline “Natty” DeCarbo and JoAnn DeCarbo and nephew
Benjamin Pesce.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 309 Spring Ave, Ellwood City, PA. Interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls, PA.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Kadima at Harmony and Gateway Hospice for the wonderful care they all gave to Louise.
