BURGLARY:
Jacob Rible, 21, of Ellwood City is charged with burglary on March 18th after Rible and a minor accomplice entered Ellwood City Lincoln High School around 3:30 a.m. Principal Sovich informed police that a few teachers were missing money from their desks, which summed to a total of $1,180. Officers watched back the security footage and identified Rible and a current cyber student. On March 21st, Rible contacted the Lincoln Highschool onsite officer to make payment arrangements for restitution, according to a criminal complaint.
RETAIL THEFT:
Charles Kriegisch, 26, of Ellwood City is charged with theft after an incident occurring on May 1st at approximately 7:05 p.m. According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched to a Dollar General on Lawrence Avenue and spoke with a store employee who advised that Kriegish stole two pairs of pajama pants, and a pair of slides. Officers reviewed the surveillance footage of the Dollar General, and identified Kriegisch. Stolen items were valued at a total of $30.00 according to the complaint.
THEFT:
Paul Hafer, 43, of New Castle, is charged with Theft after an incident occurring on April 24th. According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched to Beaver Street for a report of theft and spoke with a male victim who advised his outside AC unit was taken. Neighbors provided security footage of Hafer stealing the unit, and shortly after, police arrested Hafer at his place of employment according to the complaint.
DUI:
Cadon Sherwood, 21, of Ellwood City, is charged with DUI after an incident occurring on March 24th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 2:12 a.m., police responded to a report of a crash on Portersville Road and made contact with Sherwood who stated he was attending a party and that he only had a “little beer.” Officers administered a breathalyzer test and Sherwood was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence according to the complaint.
DUI:
Jeffrey Ecenrode, 42, of Edinburg, is charged with DUI after an incident on March 14th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 1:05 a.m., police found Ecenrode unconscious in the Uni-Mart parking lot with his vehicle running. After contact was made with Ecenrode, officers observed him to be heavily intoxicated and issued a Standard Field Sobriety test which Ecenrode failed and was sent to a nearby hospital for blood draw according to the complaint.
RECKLESS DRIVING:
Eric Brown, 34, of Harmony, is charged with Reckless Driving after an accident occurring on May 1st. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 11:40 a.m., two separate calls regarding Brown hitting vehicles and continuing to drive were made to police and police later located his vehicle in the parking lot of Adams Manufacturing unoccupied. Police observed an open case of alcohol in his passenger side and when they spoke with employee’s of Adams Manufacturing they advised that Brown was up on the roof working. Police climbed the ladder and made contact with Brown who smelled strongly of alcohol. Police informed Brown of the charges and recounted witness accounts according to the complaint.
