Mrs. Antoinette “Toni” (Ferrante) Main, 88, of Ellport passed away on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 at Quality Life Services New Castle.
Mrs. Main was born on July 21st, 1936 in Ellwood City to the late Flem “Babe” and Jennie (Mascia) Ferrante. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1955. Over the years Antoinette had worked at Greenshear Bakery, Leeds & Northrup, Romar Textile, and was co-owner and operator of Main’s Texaco Service Station which was located on Route 18 in Wampum. She had served as a member and leader for the Girl Scouts of America for 30 years and belonged to the Opti-Mrs. Club of Ellwood City. Antoinette also is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Barnett and Carole (Thomas) Ketterer both of Franklin Township, son, Darrell (Penny) Main of Ellport, grandchildren, Michelle Battaglia, Tomiann (Ryan) Kirchel, Jessica (Evan Ottaviani) Main, Kristopher Main (Eryn Ottaviani), great-grandchildren, Nicholas Riley, Tyson Ottaviani, Brooklyn Ottaviani, Maddox Main, Rocco Thomas Yanssen, Julianna Battaglia, Giavana Battaglia, and Paxton Main, step-grandchildren, Heather Robinson and Travis McCombs, and her brother, Ronald (Donna Jean) Ferrante of Mauldin, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, DeWayne A. Main whom she married on August 11th, 1956 and passed away on October 22nd, 2006, son, David Main, sister, Angeline Bingle, and son-in-law, Jeffrey Barnett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-6 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father Joseph Freedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Thursday by 12:50 pm to form an honor guard.
