Interested in auditioning to be a part of the Red Barn Players 70th Season?
Auditions will take place at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, PA, on Sunday, March 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, March 13, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A “first-timer” will fill out a form that asks for the person’s name and contact information, as well as what shows they plan to audition says Red Barn Players President, Amos Eppihimer.
The musical only needs four males, approximately 20-30 years old. The other show’s requirements will be communicated to folks by the director at the beginning of the event as well as potential casting requirements according to Eppihimer.
- Auditioning for Plays: Please come to one of the audition sessions – no signup is necessary. Cold readings will be provided. No monologue or preparation is needed.
- Auditioning for the musical: Please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. You may bring recorded accompaniment or sheet music (in your key – with marked cuts). An accompanist will be provided. Singing a cappella will not be permitted. No Sign up required.
“We have approximately 100 individuals that help with set construction, ushering, concession work, and handling the Box Office for each performance and also the online system,” adds Eppihimer.
