Mary Lou Fillinger, 88

Mary Lou Fillinger, 88, of Beaver Falls, formerly of Ellwood City passed away at Heritage Valley, Beaver on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Born in Koppel on April 3, 1936, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Louis and Nellie Holsac Ferrigno.  Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Paul L. Fillinger, whom she married on April 1, 1967.  She had worked at Economy  and City Markets in the Valley and later worked as the manager of Fisher’s Department Stores in Ellwood City and Beaver Falls.  Mary Lou was Catholic by Faith and enjoyed going to SNPJ to Polka.  She also enjoyed playing the lottery and was an Elvis fan.

Besides her husband, Paul, Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Thomas of Cranberry Township, 3 grandsons, Chad Evanson, Tyler Evanson and Joseph Thomas and 2 sisters, Virginia Tavern of Koppel and Jeanie Heinrich of Beaver.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Ferrigno, Jr. and a sister, Elizabeth Pizzella.

As per Mary Lou’s wishes, there are no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory.
