One of the last Holy Redeemer Church “Pizza Ladies” , Mrs. Rose S. Pietrcollo, 95, passed away on Sunday,. January 19th, 2025 at the Avalon Care Center in New Castle.
Mrs. Pietrcollo was born in Ellwood City on April 1st, 1929 to the late Donato “Dan” and Mary A. (Ferell) Angelucci, Sr.. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. For many years, Rose worked for the Ellwood City Area School District as a cafeteria worker, mainly taking care of the teacher’s lounge. She is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Rosie had volunteered for many years as a Holy Redeemer School cafeteria worker and for the former Holy Redeemer Annual Bazaar. During the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, and Food Festival she could be found at the Ellwood City Wolves Club booth cutting tomatoes and onions for the lamb dinners. She will be sadly missed by her many family members and numerous friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeffrey Wiley of Ellwood City, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Cindy Pietrcollo of Gibsonia, grandchildren, Erica (Chris) Gray, Abby (Bob) Maine, Hannah (Kyle) Jameson, Jay (Corey) Wiley, Alicia (Joel) Martinez, Erin (Matt) Elliott, and Lucy (Gene) Sell, and 15 great-grandchildren. Rose is also survived by her sisters, Mary Esther Shannon and Arlene Spielvogel both of Ellwood City, brother, Dan “Bug” Angelucci of Shenango Township, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Peter D. Pietrcollo whom she married on September 26th, 1953 and passed away on October 6th, 1992, daughter, Cheryl Ann Sutkowski, son, Anthony D. “Dooney” Pietrcollo, great-grandchildren, Anna Rose Sell and Calvin Jeffrey Sell, brothers, Alfonso in infancy, Alfonso “Fonce” (Ellie) Angelucci, Eugene (Louise) Angelucci, and Tony (Vi) Angelucci, sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dotty” Angelucci, and brothers-in-law, George Shannon, and James Spielvogel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father Joseph Freedy officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
