Richard D. Keith, 75, of Darlington Township passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 27, 2024 at his residence. Born March 3, 1949 in Garrett, PA, he was the son of the late Russell D. and Ila Mae Ackerman Keith. He was married to Shirley A. Keith for 22 years when she passed away on June 16, 2012. Richard had retired from Koppel Steel where he worked as a crane operator. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. Debra Sue Gordon, 67, of Ellwood City, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at her residence. Born in Ellwood City on March 13, 1957, Debra was the daughter of the late Donald and Phyllis Main Gordon.  Debra was a member of Park Gate Baptist Church.  She enjoyed attending church, shopping and attending family events. Debra is survived by her brother, Terry Gordon of New Castle, her sister-in-law, Brenda Gordon and her special friend, Ed Sutkowski. Avonworth Dethrones Riverside In Epic WPIAL Championship

Avonworth dethroned the defending Class 3A champion Panthers Tuesday afternoon in extra innings at Wild Things Park in Washington, PA. The 7-seeded Antelopes scratched out a run in the top of the 14th inning and held on for the historic 4-3 victory. The WPIAL Championship game was the longest ever recorded at Wild Things Park and the longest game since 1940. The marathon game lasted over four hours. Derrick M. Stevenson, 82

Derrick M Stevenson, 82, of Beaver Falls passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Aspinwall following a brief illness. Born December 25, 1941 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late William and Kay Porter Stevenson. Derrick graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Beaver Falls Policeman from 1972 until his retirement in 1992. He also owned Stevenson’s Exterminating for a time. Mrs. Emma (Sainato) Mittica, 84, of Koppel passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 in her home surrounded b y her loving family.
