Donna J. Cookson, 80

Donna Jean Cookson, 80, of Ellwood City passed away, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late James and Elsie (Docchio)Phillips and was born August 21, 1943, in Beaver Falls.

She is survived by her daughters; Jeannette Romano and her husband Dan Paulsen of Clearwater, FL, Jamey Nye and her husband Michael of New Brighton, Christy Cleofas Castillo and her husband Alfredo of New Castle, her grandchildren; Justin Romano, Tristan and Ethan Nye, Elsie, Evelyn, Enrique, and Emilio Cleofas CastilloHer brother; James Phillips of Beaver Falls.

Donna was born and raised in Beaver Falls. She was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School. Upon graduation, she attended nursing school and became an RN. She worked in the medical field, as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Donna enjoyed traveling, cooking, and especially reading. She also enjoyed spending time wit her grandchildren, whom she loved so much.

At Donna’s request, there will be no services.

Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL & Cremation Services located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.

      She was still my mom

      My father also past away this year too. End of January, never could of imagined losing both 4 months apart
