Jamie V. Barile, 37

Jamie V. Barile, 37, of Ellwood City, passed away at home, on Friday, October 4, 2024 after a twenty year fight with Wilson’s Disease.

Born in Ellwood City on December 20, 1986, Jamie is the daughter of James Barile of North Sewickley Township and Janeen Weisz of Ellwood City.  She was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School.  From the time she was diagnosed in 2005, Jamie was a warrior in every sense of the word.  She enjoyed music, she loved Luke Bryan, she loved watching Lifetime movies and taking baths.  She also loved taking trips to her own personal Splash Lagoon on Lawrence Avenue.

In addition to her parents, Jamie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and B.J. Patterson of Ellwood City, her two nieces, Makenna Cornelius and Kaylee Cornelius, her nephew, Craig Patterson, her great-niece Malaysia, her aunt and uncle, Glenda and Loyal Brown of Ellwood City, and her nurses, who weren’t just nurses, but were special friends, Brandi McConnell of New Castle, Lauren Schultz of New Castle and Jean Couch of Ellwood City.

Jamie was preceded in death by her sister, Kristen Ann Barile, her maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Weisz, her paternal grandparents and her step-dad, Jimmy Mantz.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 7th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 PM with Pastor Carolyn Moss of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church, celebrant.

Interment will take place in Slippery Rock Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Jamie’s family suggests memorial contributions can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hosptial.
