Ellwood City golf standout Jordan Keller has advanced to the 2nd round of the WPIAL Class 2A Boys Individual Championship.
The junior finished with a 6-over round of 78 on Monday at the Par-72 Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport.
Keller fired a 38 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine. He collected a birdie on the par-5 14th hole.
Riverside’s Hunter Garvin (43-44, +15) and Ellwood City’s Nate Kennedy (43-46, +17) participated on Monday but each missed the cut. The top 36 finishers made the cut to advance.
Logan Crowe of McGuffey finished 1st overall in the opening round with a 1-over round of 73.
The WPIAL 2A Boys’ Championship Final Round will be held at Sewickley Heights C.C. on October 2nd. The top 18 finishers will advance to the state championships.
Earlier this month, Keller collected the MAC Individual Championship, a first for a Wolverine golfer in over two decades.
