Dunkin’ Grand Opening Set For Monday, August 19th

Ellwood City runs on Dunkin’

The new Ellwood City Dunkin’ location is set to hold its grand opening on Monday, August 19th.

This official announcement was provided this week by its franchise group, Heartland Restaurant Group.

According to Larry Mench, Sr. Director of HR, Training & Development, the new location will open at 4:30 a.m. on August 19th.

There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony held at 10:30 a.m. with the general manager and Ellwood City Borough Council members and other VIP’s from the Ellwood City area.  Ellwood City Borough Council approved final requests in regards to a Dunkin’ drive-thru restaurant in May 2023 and adjusted conditions in June 2023.  Construction began in April of 2024 after the lots had been cleared.

“The Heartland Restaurant Group family has wanted to join the Ellwood City community for a couple of years and we’re excited that we’re finally able to make that happen,” says Mench in an emailed statement. “The Ellwood City community, Chamber, and numerous city employees and leadership have been fantastic to work with and have been very helpful and instrumental in making this happen as well! Thank you Ellwood City, we’re happy to be your neighbor!”

The 2,060-square-foot Dunkin’ facility, located at the corner of Fifth Street and Spring Avenue, features two drive-thru lanes, with one designated for mobile orders, and will offer a grand opening day special $0.99 any sized iced or hot coffee.

According to its website, Heartland Restaurant Group operates more than 73 locations in and around western Pennsylvania with more than 1,300 employees and HRG has been one of Pittsburgh’s “Best Places to Work” and “Fastest Growing Retailers” five years in a row.
