Ellwood City Borough Council voted to rescind the request by Fifth and Spring, LLC in regards to a Dunkin’ fast food restaurant at the intersection of Fifth Street and Spring Avenue approved during their May 15, 2023 meeting. Borough Council to Hold Public Hearing Regarding Dunkin’

Ellwood City Borough Council announced during the April 17 regular meeting that they will hold a public hearing to consider a conditional use request from Dunkin’ on May 15 at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Borough Building’s Council Chambers on the second floor. Borough Manager Kevin Swogger said the borough will be applying for a Lawrence County Liquid Fuels Grant to help offset the costs of the 2021 Road Improvement Project. Dunkin Donuts Opts Out Of Ellwood City Location

The long anticipated plans and hopes for a Dunkin Donuts at the corner of 5th Street and Spring Avenue have now been canceled. “There were too many assemblage issues with the parcels,” said Mr. Ed Jaten, spokesman for Heartland Restaurant Group (HRG).
