The contractor did not get the work done in time to get the required sample to the lab on Thursday. We will be performing the DEP mandated sampling for bacteria on Monday and Tuesday, as they have to be two consecutive days….and they aren’t available to do it on Saturday.
What does this mean to you?
Well, unfortunately the boil advisory cannot be lifted until we get those results back which could be Thursday, 8/8/2024. Once we get the results back from the lab and send them over to DEP, DEP will give us the okay to lift the advisory.
At that time, Authority staff will be around with a hand delivered notice informing you that the boil advisory has been lifted.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience; however, the boil advisory is for your safety.
