Mrs. Mary Scialdone, 92, of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, July 29th,2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Scialdone was born in Forestville, PA on August 4th, 1931 to the late Philip and Frances F. (Ferrell) Labor. She had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill and later as a crossing guard for the Ellwood City Area School District for 22 years. Mary is also a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sharon Scialdone, son James (Jeanie) Scialdone, grandchildren Allison (Ryan) Frickanish, James (Lara) Scialdone, and Jaimie Scialdone, great grandchildren Alexa (Andy) Ott, Sofia Frickanish, Maria (Kayne) Moye, Louie Scialdone, Sara Scialdone, Arabella Scialdone, Josh (Jordan) Silvius, and Kassidy (Hayden) Maine, and great-great-grandchildren Franklin Ott, Wyatt Maine, Easton Maine, Blayke Main, and Brynlee Silvius. Mary is also survived by her special niece Donna (Don) McFadden along with several other nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband James A. “Jimmy” Scialdone whom she married on August 27th, 1949 and passed away on August 7th, 1996, son Louis Scialdone, grandson Joey Scialdone, sister and brother-in-law Angeline and Armond Riccardi, and brothers Donald Labor and Anthony “Tony” Labor.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.
