Richard Strohecker, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at UPMC Jameson.
Born in Ellwood City on October 3, 1945, Richard was the son of the late Clark and Irvina Wright Strohecker. Richard owned and operated Strohecker Sealcoating and Paving. He previously worked at B&W Steel and also drove truck.
Richard is survived by his wife, the former Marylu Harper, who he married on July 1, 1995. He passed away one day shy of their 29th anniversary. He is also survived by his children, Laura “Laurie” (Joe) Laurain of New Wilmington and Richard “Rick” Strohecker, Jr. of Beaver Falls, three step-sons, Kenny (Melanie) Brenner of Minnesota, Mark (Stacey) Brenner of Ellwood City and Tom (Livia) Brenner of Pennsylvania, four sisters, Donna Jones of New Wilmington, Karen Holler of Ellwood City, Linda Wawrzynski of New Castle and Michele Gasper of Ellwood City, two brothers, Irvin Strohecker of Ellwood City and John Strohecker of Florida, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Patty Main and Violet Scheidemantle and a brother, Thomas in infancy.
Per Richard’s wishes, there will not be any services. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
