Nathan R. Prestopine, 93

Mr. Nathan R. Prestopine, 93, of Ellport, passed away on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at his residence.

Nathan was born on May 4th, 1931 to the late Michael J. and Gilda E. (Docchio) Prestopine. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean War Era. Nathan worked at U.S. Steel, both in Ellwood City and Ambridge, until it’s closing. Nathan was then employed by the Butler Auto Auction, from which he recently retired. He is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Sons of Italy. Nathan was an avid golfer and talented bowler as well, earning him a place in the Beaver County Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Cochran) Prestopine of Ellwood City, daughter, Cynthia Prestopine-Stacy of Ellwood City, sons, Richard Prestopine and Robert Prestopine, grandsons, Tristan Stacy of Ellwood City and Tylar Prestopine of New Castle, sister, Joyce (James) Hackett of Wampum, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Angelo M.Prestopine.

A private service will be held for Nathan’s family and close friends. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Final arrangements entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
