Mrs. Barbara Joanne (Stasick) Sutkowski passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was surrounded by family, at Northview Estates on Friday April 12th, 2024. Barbara was an active member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers for many years. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She prepared countless meals for family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and babysitting. Barbara enjoyed sewing, she made quiet/memory books, and making quilts for her family. Barbara was always willing to help a neighbor, friend, or stranger if they needed anything. Barbara was very active, since graduation, on the reunion committee for her graduation class. Barbara attended Nursing School in Pittsburgh. She worked in an office for a local manufacturing company for several years after graduation. Barbara was born on September 5th 1934. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. She was married to Robert J. Sutkowski for 68 years.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her husband Bob, daughter Loraine, daughter-in-law Cheryl, granddaughters Alexandra and Alexa, and her parents Beulah (Snare) and Paul Stasick, as well as many other family members. She is survived by her sons James (Terry), Rob (Judy), grandchildren Erica (Chris) Gray, Abby (Bob) Maine, Hannah (Kyle) Jamison, Paul Sutkowski, Autum (Gary) Nace and Jonathan (Chelsey) Shingler, and great-grandchildren Bryn and Declan Grey, Gracie and Tynan Maine, River, Cruz and Londyn Jamison, Elin, Bria, Eilee, (Nace), and Chase and Chloe Shingler, her brother John Stasick and uncle Bob Snare of Florida.
Barbara and Bob hosted Sunday dinner for many years. She very much enjoyed being around family and friends. She also was a longtime election poll worker.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church Catholic Center. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the center on Monday by 9:50 am to form an honor guard. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
