At the blessed age of 96, Frank Joseph Perrone passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. Born June 10th, 1927, son of the late Pasquale and Domenica Perrone. Beloved husband of Rina, whom he married on August 29th, 1953; loving father of Helen (Jon Bonsall), Pat (Lisa Demeter), Paul (Carina Evangelista), Nancy Guarino (Dino), and Phillip. Frank is also survived by a brother, Robert Perrone, and several nieces and nephews. Frank was beyond blessed with 12 grandchildren, Jessica (Helen), Alyssa and Sondra (Pat), Sarah and Anthony (Paul), Francesca, Gianna and Santina (Nancy), Nicole, Michael, Rachel and Danielle (Phillip), as well as the proud great grandfather to Luca, Leo, Logan and Levi.
Frank served his country honorably in Germany with the US Army from August of 1945 to February of 1947. A mild mannered man with a zest for all things Italian, his satirical whit will be sorely missed by all who have been entertained by his presence.
As a lifelong resident of Ellwood City, Frank was a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church his entire life and was a long time volunteer at the church’s Annual Bazaar. Frank was a member of the Ellwood City Wolves Club and the Moose Lodge #93. He retired from U.S. Steel and Vital Statistics. He enjoyed and participated in a bowling league, and for several years conducted a laminating business in his spare time at home.
Frank loved many, was loved by many, and will be dearly missed by all!
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Anthony Perrone and James Perrone, and sister Ellen Martino.
Visitation will be held on Friday From 4-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 12:30 pm at Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Zelienople. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the cemetery on Saturday by 1:45 pm to conduct full military honors.
