Diana Massaro, 93

Diana (Nocera) Massaro, 93, of Ellwood City went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Avalon Place in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maddelena (Colella) Nocera and was born January 30, 1931, in Ellwood City.

She is survived by her son; Joseph Massaro, III and his wife Julie E. of Ellwood City, her daughter; Sharon L. Kelly and her husband Timothy of Wilmington Twp, five grandchildren; Jenna E. Massaro of Pittsburgh, Kristin Forsberg and Dan of Hermitage, Alissa Kelly and Ian of Hermitage, Jeremy Kelly and Emily of New Wilmington and Travis Kelly and Marissa of New Castle, five great grandsons; Carson and Parker Forsberg, Bryson and Holden Kelly and Patrick Shawn Kelly, two sisters; Rosina Massaro and Dominick and Ida Flout and Norman all of New Castle.

She had a true love for Jesus and shared her faith with many. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in New Castle where she taught Sunday School and the Women’s Bible Study for many years, fulfilling her servant’s heart to share the word of God. She always stated that the Lord, her family, and friends were her most cherished blessings. She was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City. She worked in the factory at Dustproof in Ellwood City or 8 years and then with the JCPenney Company for 30 years, first as a sales associate and then in the customer service in the catalog department until her retirement. She had a love for reading and felt that knowledge was important. She was a dedicated Christian first, a devoted wife caring Mother, Grandmother Great-Grandmother, and Sister. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her and those whose lives she may have touched.

She married Joseph Massaro, Jr on April 5, 1952. The love of her life for 51 years, who preceded her in death May 30, 2003, and one sister; Marie D. Ialongo who passed September 12, 2010.

Friends may call on the family from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Turner Funeral & Cremation Services with Funeral Services being held immediately following at 7:00pm with Pastor Stephen DeSantis, officiating, of First Assembly of God of New Castle.

Entombment will be in the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Mausoleum in Ellwood City.
