In a 2-1 vote, the Wayne Township Board of Supervisors voted against holding its annual clean-up day.
The vote was part of new business items at the township’s monthly Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday, March 7th.
According to the township, Supervisor Marc Cunningham voted no with Supervisor Rick Weingartner seconding the vote. Supervisor William Hepler was in favor of clean-up.
If community members are concerned or care to come to the next meeting to express any opinions on the matter, the April Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled to be held April 4th at 6:00 p.m.
The communities represented in Wayne Township are Burnstown, Chewton, Park Gate and Wurtemburg. All meetings are open to the Public, are advertised and are held at the Wayne Township Municipal Building. Supervisors meet the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm, the Township Municipal Authority meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm, and the Planning Commission meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
