The Ellwood City Area School District is pleased to announce that the construction at Perry Lower Intermediate School has been completed.
“We are so excited to bring this project to a close and to allow our students to benefit from the updated learning spaces that are available to them,” said Dr. Wesley Shipley, Superintendent of Schools.
The project included updating the electric and plumbing systems as well as installing new HVAC throughout the entire building. An addition that includes four classroom spaces and new toilet facilities was built to make room for growing academic service programs within the building. The renovations began in October 2022.
The district will host an open house from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
“I look forward to opening our doors and inviting the entire community to have an opportunity to see the work that’s been done. I’m proud of the results of this project,” said Shipley.
A ribbon cutting will occur at 6:45 in the main entrance.
The school board will hold their monthly voting meeting in the multi-purpose room of Perry immediately following the open house. The public is invited to view the school building and to stay for the public board meeting that will follow.
