“Play On”

Written by Rick Abbott, Directed by Don Pepe

May 31, June 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15th | 7:30pm

This is the hilarious story of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play despite maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near-disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything that can!

“Guys and Dolls”

Book by Abe Burrows & Jo Swerling, Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser, Directed by Toni Schlemmer

July 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20th | 7:30pm

Considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, “Guys and Dolls” is an oddball romantic comedy. Loveable gangster Nathan Detroit, his long-suffering fiancĂ©e Adelaide, and the rest of the characters take us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City.

“The Bold, The Young and The Murdered”

Written by Don Zolidis, Directed by Patrick Erkman

Aug. 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24th | 7:30pm

The long-running soap opera The Bold and the Young is in its last days: Its hunky hero has self-esteem issues, its villainous old man is more interested in soup, and its heroines are slightly psychopathic. The executive producer gives the squabbling cast an ultimatum: Complete one episode overnight or the show dies. But when the director ends up murdered, and other cast members start dropping like flies, it seems like his threat might come true.

“Making God Laugh”

Written by Sean Grennan, Directed by Wayne Brinda

Sept. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28th | 7:30pm

We follow one typical American family over the course of thirty years’ worth of holidays. Ruthie and Bill’s grown children — a priest, an aspiring actress, and a former football star — all return home, where we learn of their plans and dreams as they embark on their adult lives. The empty-nester parents contend with their own changes, too, as old family rituals are trotted out and ancient tensions flare up. As time passes, the family discovers that, despite what we may have in mind, we often arrive at unexpected destinations.
