Along with Neshannock, both teams combined to shoot 76% from the field in the quarter.
🔥 EN FUEGO! 🔥
How crazy was the second quarter between Ellwood City and Neshannock tonight? NHS made their first 6 shots of Q2, EC made their first 8 (and 12 of their first 13). NHS shot 10-14, EC 12-15. That’s a combined 76% shooting from the field in the quarter!

The third quarter was a stark difference as both teams combined for only 14 points. Ellwood City led 55-47 after three quarters and held on for the road victory.
Payton Newman scored a game-high 23 points in defeat for Neshannock.
The Wolverines improve to 12-6 Overall with a 4-2 Section 3A-1 record and can clinch a playoff berth with a victory next Monday in the Riv-Ell Cup game versus Riverside.
Thursday night’s victory also avenges a loss to Neshannock earlier this month and may provide an opportunity for Ellwood City to capture the section title.
