Carl Koziar, 67, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 art UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle.
Carl was born in Ellwood City on November 5th, 1956 to the late George and Charlotte (McClelland) Koziar. He had graduated from Riverside High School and later from Capital Campus of Penn State University in August of 1978. Carl was a hard worker. He became a millwright welder in the maintenance department at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill. He then worked at the Alaron Corporation as operations manager. Most recently, until he retired last year, he was the owner of Carl’s Tiling and Painting. He cherished his 2 dogs Molly and Jackson and was known for his love of playing the lottery. His absence will be difficult for all who really knew him.
Carl is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and was volunteering at the Holy Redeemer Social Service Food Bank.
Carl is survived by his wife Lorraine (Lonnett) Koziar whom he married on March 6th, 1982, his children and their partners Tyler Koziar (Jane Marcus) of Emsworth and Whitney Koziar (Gary Hartle) of New Castle, and his brother Bruce (Mary) Koziar of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gregory Koziar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 5:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
