Leslie Ann Bauder, 65

Leslie Ann Bauder, 65, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Donald Ray and Jacqueline Ann (McKissick) Bauder and was born January 7, 1958.

She is survived by her sisters; Valerie Rae and Timothy Charles Butler of Virginia Beach, VA and Christine Bauder and Mary Napier of Houston, TX, her cousin Rebekah Bauder Grinnen of Ellwood City, along with her aunts Virginia Kline of Fombell, PA and Mary Lauve of New Orleans, LA, and her uncle David Bauder of Jamestown, PA along with many cousins and friends. She is also survived by her faithful companion and best friend, her black poodle Roger.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burns W. and Gertrude (Lemery) McKissick and Donald K. and Claribel (McConahy) Bauder as well as aunts and uncles and cousins.

Leslie graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1976 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Duquesne University in 1980. Leslie always had a kind word and empathy for others. Leslie was a devout Roman Catholic and found great joy in selfless service to others in need.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church located at 415 Fourth Street, Ellwood City, PA 16117 on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10:00AM. Father Joseph Freedy, a friend to Leslie, will celebrate the Mass.

Interment will occur in Holy Redeemer Cemetery for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations, made in Leslie’s name Divine Grace Holy Redeemer Church or the Ellwood City Library.

  1. My heart is broken by this news. Leslie was my friend and I am going to miss coffee at The Grind with her and Roger. I don`t know anyone that was kinder than her.
