Mr. Frank D’Ambrosio, 86, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. D’Ambrosio was born on May 9th, 1937 in Perry Twp. to the late Frank and Lizana (Innocent) D’Ambrosio, Sr. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1956. Frank had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in West Mayfield in the cold draw department as a tube grinder until he retired. He was a Christian by faith. He loved to fish and hunt and loved reading about cars. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler’s, Pirate’s, and Penguin’s fan. He loved to tinker in his shop and loved his garden.
He will be dearly missed by his family, but we will celebrate his life and all the wonderful memories.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Mabel (Cress) D’Ambrosio, daughters, Debbie (Hal) Grant of Ellport, Vicki (Anthony) Colianni of Ellwood City, and Cindy (Joe) Scorza of Las Vegas, NV, son Frank (Kathy) D’Ambrosio of North Sewickley Twp., grandchildren Larry (Nikki) Wheeler, Nathan Wheeler, Sonny (Chelsea) Grant, Anthony (Makaila) Grant, Kristan Silvestri, Gregory (Carli) Silvestri, Michael (Kayse) Silvestri, Joey (Linda) Scorza, Briannon (Rob) Yadrick, Domenick (Karine) Scorza, Anthony Colianni, and Amanda (Eric) Turner, and his 20 great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Isabelle Costa, Jennie Cortese, Mary Morini, Lillie Bernabe, Louise Paglia, and Theresa Robertson, and brothers Fred, Anthony, Guy, Domenic, Angelo, Alfonso, and Emmett D’Ambrosio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-6 pm and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Tom Milnes officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
