Cathy Iva Ketterer, 72, of Wampum,went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, PA. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all.
Cathy was born on July 28, 1951, in Ellwood City to David and Mary Alice (Wehr) Kelly. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Westminster College. Cathy married the love of her life, Kenneth, in 1970 and they were married for 53 years. She was a devoted 50-year member of The Order of the Eastern Star No. 212 and volunteered her time with various organizations in the area.
Most importantly, Cathy was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and dear friend to many. Cathy shared abounding grace and kindness to all whom she encountered and touched many lives during her time. She cherished her time spent outside gardening and exploring nature with her grandsons and snuggling with her two dogs, Stella and Lola.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ketterer, her daughter, Kelly (William) Stevens, her son, Thomas Ketterer, grandsons, Maddox and Maison Stevens, and her sibilings, David (Mary) Kelly, Judy (Ed) Berendt, Sandy (Pat) Hennon, Thomas (Erin) Kelly, and Tammy (Mark) Mazzant, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive condolences from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023. An Eastern Star Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00PM by OES Chapter No. 212 of Ellwood City with a Memorial Service immediately following with Pastor Jay Sterling, Officiating at Turner Funeral Home in Ellwood City
