Louella A. Bookamer, 85, of Ellwood City passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born November 5, 1938 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Christopher A. and Kiturah J. Wineman McLaughlin.
Louella graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958. She had retired in 2011 after 43 years of working in the Dietary Department at the Ellwood City Hospital. She attended Park Gate Baptist. Louella loved cooking and also enjoyed playing Bingo, watching the Hallmark Channel, and spending time with her dog Rosie. Above all else, her most cherished moments were the times she was able to spend with her great-granddaughter Christina.
Survivors include her sister, Rachel Hoover of North Carolina; brother, Robert McLaughlin of Ellwood City; granddaughter, Samantha (Andrew) Zimmerman and great-granddaughter, Christina Lane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn “George” and Keith Bookamer; daughter, Tracey Briner; two brothers, Clark and David McLaughlin, and one sister, Sara Campbell.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
