Mrs. Mildred I. Agostinelli, 96, of Franklin Township passed away on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at her residence.
Mildred was born in Franklin Township on April 29th, 1927 to the late Lee R. and Harriet (Twentier) Burke. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1945. Mildred attended the Union Goodwill Community Church in Ellwood City where she was a member of their “sewing circle” who made candy, dumplings, and other delicious treats. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels since its inception for 35 years. A true homemaker, Mildred enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, going to church, and taking care of her house.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Michael) Gilliland of Portersville, son, Robert (Marcie) Agostinelli of Ellwood City, grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Hart, Steven (Julie) Hart, and Ryan (Angela) Hart and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Chloe, Logan, Peyton, and Mia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter J. Agostinelli whom she married in July 2nd, 1946 and passed away on October 9th, 2020, sisters, Ruth Graham and Bernice Ryle, and brother, Paul R. Burke.
As per Mildred’s wishes there will be no public service. Inurnment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in the spring. Final arrangements entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
