Stella M. Santillo, 101

Mrs. Stella M. Santillo, 101, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at Northview Estates , where she resided since 2021.

She was born on July 29, 1922 in Butler, Pa to the late Anthony “Tony” Morris and Nellie (Morris) DiFalco. Stella graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. She was a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. She had worked at Aetna Standard in Ellwood City and also MSA in Ellport. During WWII she worked at an airplane factory in Detroit. She also went to school for cosmetology.

Stella enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and no one ever left her home hungry. She loved her family and was happiest when they were all together.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was her husband John A. Santillo, whom she married on May 10th, 1947, he passed away on April 24th, 1980. Also, her brother LTC Retired Victor E Morris of Fairview Heights, IL and two sisters. Olga Sawor of Ellwood City and Edith Kravos of Wampum.

Stella is survived by her daughter Marlene Boller (Ron) of Greensburg ,PA and her son John Santillo (Suzanne) of Beverly Hills, FL. Grandchildren include Jeffrey Boller (Jennifer) of Greensburg , PA, Ryan Boller and significant other, Nicki Dlugash, of Takoma Park, MD, and Jamie Santillo and significant other, Kevin Stein of Wesley Chapel, FL. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Brooke Boller, both of Greensburg , PA. Stella also leaves behind a special family friend, Jorge Zayas, of Wesley Chapel, FL. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and godchildren that she cared about.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Northview Estates for the wonderful care provided to her, as well as the Gentiva Hospice caregivers for their compassion and comfort care.
As per Stella’s wishes, there will be no public service. Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Final arrangements are entrusted to Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
Any memorial donations may be made in Stella’s name to charities of donors personal choice.
