William R. “Bill” Biego, 51, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at his residence with his loving father and care givers at his bedside.
Bill was born in Ellwood City on August 11th, 1972 to Raymond Biego and the late Alice L. (Cole) Biego. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1990. Bill then studied at Penn State Beaver, Penn State Main, and graduated from Geneva College with a Degree in Civil Engineering. He had worked for PENNDOT, Herr Voss, and CDM Smith Engineering Company. An avid bowler, Billy had bowled twenty four 300 games, and in 2008 he along with his friend Paul Durbin won the State Scratch Doubles Championship at Eastway Lanes in Erie, Pa. He also holds the highest series ever rolled at Park Lanes Bowling Alley with an 822. Bill served two 2 year terms as president for the Beaver County Bowling Association and was a social member of the Sons of Italy in Ellwood City.
Billy enjoyed collecting and setting up Lionel Trains. In 2012 he paid homage to the key role railroads played in Ellwood City’s history by custom building a model of the three-train car that made the final P&LE Ellwood City run. His model is part of the railroad exhibit in Ellwood City’s Historical Society on Fifth Street.
A gentle soul, Bill will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-3 pm and 5:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Interment will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery in Ellwood City.
