The Club Hope Foundation will be hosting its 4th Annual HOPE Run Derby this Sunday.
Over 120 batters are getting ready to hit Home Runs for HOPE at Bradshaw Park starting at 11:00am.
Batters will range from two years old to over 40 years old and they are all coming to get the for a great cause!
“This is always one of my favorite events we hold! Not only are we raising so much awareness and many donations to help our warriors in need, we are getting kids involved and teaching them the importance of giving back to help those in need,” says Cara Atkinson, Executive Director of Club Hope Foundation. “With this month being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month how much better get it get, getting kids involved in helping honor other children fighting the fight of their lives!”
Batters are hitting on three fields at Bradshaw Park:
11:00 AM BATTERS:
- GIRLS AGES Under 6, followed by 6-8, followed by 9-10, followed by 11-12 Little League Field
- BOYS AGES 3 and Under, followed by 4-5, followed by 6-8 Mustang Field
- BOYS AGES 14-19 Pony League Field
12:30 PM BATTERS:
- GIRLS AGES 13-14, followed by 15-19, followed by 30 and over Little League Field
- BOYS AGES 9-10, followed by 11-13 Mustang Field
- MEN AGES 30 and over Pony League Field
“There will also be over 20 young children in booths selling different items they have made themselves,” adds Atkinson.
Some include t-shirts, bracelets, earrings, keychains and much more according to Atkinson.
Nancy Zurinsky will be in attendance painting faces, the snack shack will be open and the event will feature 2023 Riverside High School Players or Coaches in the dunk tank!
A Ceremonial Opening Pitch will be thrown by Amazing Survivor Angels Lauster at 10:50 a.m.
