Hope Run Derby Planned For Sunday

The Club Hope Foundation will be hosting its 4th Annual HOPE Run Derby this Sunday. Over 120 batters are getting ready to hit Home Runs for HOPE at Bradshaw Park starting at 11:00am. Michael’s Furniture Plus, conducted a very successful charitable promotion this year that resulted in an impressive amount of money being donated to a great cause. Michael’s pledged to donate $50.00 to the Club Hope Foundation for every Ellwood City Varsity Football touchdown scored this season. The Ellwood City team did their part and scored 22 touchdowns this year and Michael’s was happy to donate $1,100.00 to the Club Hope Foundation. Local Girls Hosting ‘Hugs for Pap’ Holiday Blanket Drive for Club Hope

Two Ellwood City girls know two things for sure this holiday season … they miss their “pap” and want to help those with cancer. Maura (9), and Ella (5) Fauzey are teaming up with Club Hope Foundation for a “Hugs for Pap” Blanket drive in honor of their Grandfather, Tony Celli, who died in April of pancreatic cancer. LHS Class Of ’55 Makes Donation To Club Hope Foundation

The Lincoln High School Class of 1955 celebrated their 67th class reunion this past summer and, after some discussion, the classmates have decided to discontinue their formal reunions. In keeping their local wishes, a check in the amount of $272.00 from the class account was presented to Club Hope Foundation last week. Local Hope Warrior Named ‘Woman of Courage’

Some define a woman of courage as a mother, others someone who helps their community, others a leader or teacher, others a survivor. Cara Atkinson is all of the above. Club Hope Foundation founder Cara Atkinson has been nominated and chosen for the top of of the 2021 Woman of Courage Award through the Pink Pamper Foundation. This award is given yearly at the Pink Pamper’s Annual Bubble Ball, which will be held this year on Friday, October 8th at the Doubletree Hotel in Cranberry. The nominees were selected by a committee through the Pink Pamper non-profit and the winner is selected through a system of voting online. Shirts Now Available For ‘Pink Out’ Challenge

T-shirts are available at Ellwood City, Riverside, Beaver Falls, and Shenango schools and the non-profit Club Hope Foundation for a challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “The Pink Out Challenge this year is between Ellwood City, Riverside, Shenango and Beaver Falls,” said Cara Atkinson, found of Club Hope Foundation. The Club Hope Foundation is hosting their inaugural “Celebration of HOPE Ball” on Saturday March 30, 2019. It will be held the SOI in Ellwood City and it will be a night of dinner, dancing, honoring, and memorializing the lives of those in our area affected by cancer. Club Hope Foundation Sells Pink Out Challenge Shirts for Ellwood vs. Riverside Football

The Club Hope Foundation is selling Pink Out T-Shirts for $10 to be worn for the football games during October. Club Hope is doing a Football Challenge at the Ellwood vs. Riverside game on October 12. A teacher from each school will go on the field at halftime and throw mini-footballs into a garbage can. The teacher that loses has to wear a t-shirt from the other school for the remainder of the game.
