Lisa S. Koch-Vanassa, 59, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Lisa was born on December 31st, 1963 in Ellwood City to the late Melvin G. and Lena (Rosellini) Koch. She was baptized at the former St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. Lisa is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1982 and earned a certificate in Business Administration from Beaver County Community College in 1985. She enjoyed watching movies, shopping, dancing, eating out at various restaurants with her family, and traveling to Florida with her sister Judy.
She is survived by her sister Judith Koch and her companion Richard Marino of Cranberry Twp., brothers Dennis M. (Lauri) Koch of Lady Lake, FL and David M. Koch of Rochester and his companion Debbie Jone of Aliquippa. Lisa is also survived by her niece and nephews Derek A. Koch, Matthew R. (Kylie) Koch, Brandon Molchen, and Sylvia Ruck, and will be sadly missed by her dear friend Pam Inman-Dietrich.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and nephew David M. Koch Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the Service at 11:00 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Pastor Bill Silver officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorial donations to be sent to: National Alliance on Mental illness.
