Mrs. JoAnn Mike, 85, of Beaver Falls passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.
Mrs. Mike was born in Indiana, Pa on April 7th, 1938 to the late Joe and Mary (Gieyer) Solinski. JoAnn had worked at Westinghouse in Beaver, The Oasis in Aliquippa, Lindy’s in Center Township, and lastly, she was the co-owner and operator of Jays News until her retirement in 2017. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, traveling to Florida for winter, and card games such as Pinochle and Hand & Foot.
She is survived by her son Tim (Diane) Mike of Ellwood City, daughter Kimberly Ann (James “Dink”) Biskup of Aliquippa, grandchildren Kristen (Tom) Capbell and Marissa (Chad) Sterling, great-grandchildren Isabella and Darren Campbell, Dominic and Addison Sterling, and her sister Bertha Yarnell of Indianapolis, IN.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mowry Mike whom she married in 1958 and passed away in 1999, sisters Nelda Buggy and Betty Marasco, brothers Roger, Joseph, and Alfred “Shorty” Solinski.
Following JoAnn’s wishes there will be a private, family service held at a later date. Final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
