Virginia M. Comcowich, 94

Virginia M. Comcowich, 94, of Beaver, PA passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver.

Born December 17, 1928 in West Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Carmen Thomas and Alice Jasmin Thomas. Virginia lived most of her life in West Haven, CT until 2017 when she moved to Beaver, PA to be closer to her daughter and her family. She worked for many years as a bookbinder at Herlin Press and then worked at Pez until her retirement. Virginia always looked “put together” with her matching outfits, hair done, and a monthly manicure. She loved to play bingo, dominoes, and cards. She was in a Bowling League and received many trophies. She vacationed with her daughter’s family, spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She always enjoyed sending out greeting cards and would always sign them “have a nice day!”

She leaves behind her daughter, Patricia (Steve) Ruggiero of Beaver, PA; granddaughter, Marissa (Eric) Seaman of New Brighton, PA; grandson, Scott Ruggiero of Denver, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, James Brennan, who passed away on December 11, 1984; second husband, Peter Comcowich, who passed away on January 13, 2005; two sisters, Elsie Russello and Dolores Monchamp; and her brother Carmen Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Harmony Zelienople Global Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St. Zelienople PA, 16063. Pastor Dan Owen will officiate.

Interment will take place late this fall in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven CT.
