Jodi Lynn Piper-Minteer, 62

Jodi Lynn Piper-Minteer, 62, of Ellwood City passed away the afternoon of July 23, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. with her loving family at her side.

Born March 1, 1961 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late George O. and Catherine (Hamilton) Piper. Jodi married Jonathan Andrew Minteer on May 6, 1994. She was a1980 graduate of Riverside High School and received associate degrees in Accounting and Business Management from Beaver County Community College. Following graduation she worked at Mario’s Giant Eagle, several banks in the New Castle and Wexford areas and ultimately at Foodland in New Brighton. Jodi’s greatest joy was being around family, friends, and her beloved dogs: Khan, “Q”, and Leeloo. She looked forward to celebrating the Christmas holiday each year beginning preparations twelve months in advance. She will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt and daughter-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Gail Sponsler, an infant brother, Greg, two brothers-in-law, Anthony Franze and Charles Sponsler, two nephews, Rob Franze and Brian Huffman, and one great nephew, James Blinn.

Jodi is survived by three sisters, Linda (Dr. Woodrow) Kroll of Titusville, Florida, Kathy Gordon of Ellwood City, Shirley Franze of Koppel, and two brothers, George (Debbie) Piper of Frisco and Robin (Shirley) Piper of New Brighton.
Jodi will be greatly missed by Dewey and Gloria Minteer.

Also to cherish the memory of their “JoJo” are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Jodi’s brother-in-law Dr. Woodrow Kroll will officiate the service. Inurnment will take place at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
