Come on out and mingle with fellow community members!
Franklin Township will be holding their 10th Annual National Night Out Event on Tuesday, August 1st, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Franklin Plaza in Ellwood City.
There will be free activities for children, fire safety, CPR training, prize giveaways, and food vendors. The annual event will host approximately 40 vendors for the event. The event is sponsored by Plassmeyer Towing.
According to the township, there will be firetrucks, police cars, ambulance service, face painters, a balloon twister, an obstacle course and giant slide, CPR instruction, free blood pressure screenings, hearing screening, and a dunk tank.
National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime,” began in 1984 in an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. National Night Outs are held on the first Tuesday of August.
