Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week Of July 10th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

WE’RE OPEN

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, JULY 10

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a program for adults to come and de-stress while coloring with either our supplies or their own.

TUESDAY, JULY 11

  • 10:00 a.m. – “Jumpstart to Kindergarten,” a program for children entering Kindergarten in the fall.
  • 7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Sword of Destiny” by Andrzej Sapkowski

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

  • 11:00 a.m. – “Bee Awesome Program,” designed for children that finished Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.
  • Noon – “Book Bunch Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Chocolate Touch” by Patrick Skene Catling.
  • 6:00 p.m. –“Family Story Time,” a program for babies, toddlers, pre-school aged children. Registration is requested.

THURSDAY, JULY 13

  • 10:00 a.m. – “Puppet Theater,” for children finishing 4th through 12th grade.
  • Noon – “Bookworms Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Found” by Margaret Peterson Haddix.

FRIDAY, JULY 14

  • 12:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” a group that meets and works on individual projects. New people are welcome.

SATURDAY, JULY 15

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – “Chalk it Up,” come and decorate our sidewalks with chalk.

SAVE THE DATE

Friday August 11 the Library will be hosting a “Wine Walk” from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. There will be Wineries, Craft Beer makers and Food Vendors. Tickets are on sale at the Library and on the Eventbrite website.

Tuesday and Wednesday August 8 and 9 there will be a Harry Potter Themed Escape Room. Please call the library to register as there is limited space.
